There is a whole world out there

How many English players will open their eyes to it?

During the current transfer period we have been approached by many English players seeking to secure playing contracts in England. While speaking with those players, one thing they often have in common is never having seriously considered moving abroad to play professionally. Most of them have not been able to see beyond the UK's border.

Of course, the UK boasts the most valuable professional league in the world: the Premier League (which is valued at more than double the second most valuable league in the world, La Liga).

The UK also boasts the EFL Championship, League One and League Two, all strong and highly competitive leagues. And the upper levels of Non-League football in the UK are also filled with clubs that are well resourced and very competitive.

However, in not being able to see beyond the UK's border, some English players risk missing genuine opportunities to progress their football careers. There are countless English players below the Premier League and EFL Championship who could make the move to professional overseas leagues and have every chance of thriving in those environments.

Instead, what is commonplace, is English players battling in the mid and lower levels of Non-League football in the UK in an effort to stand out and secure a playing contract at a higher level domestically. For every one player who succeeds in achieving that, there are countless players who don't. And some of those unsuccessful players acquire significant injuries in the process, setting them further back in (and sometimes ending) their careers.

Through our work with clubs, coaches and professional staff in overseas leagues, we understand the type of English players that have the potential to secure playing contracts in those leagues (including in 1st and 2nd division) and we know how to best represent English players for that purpose.

With the right guidance, and encouragement to look beyond the UK, we help players broaden their horizons, so they can see (and grasp) opportunities to further their professional playing careers abroad.
